Ok, so we're really working on my son's vocabulary, he's got quite an extensive one, and is learning how to use his manners properly - which I am very proud of. He was having a really hard time with "thank you" so last night I taught him the sign for thank you, and he's been using it properly every since- it's incredible how brilliant a young mind actually is. He is confused however, about the use of "me" vs. "you", and why shouldn't he be? We tell him to say " for me" -or whatever it is he's talking about , in regards to himself ,and we respond with " yes, it's for you". So now, he calls himself "you" and it's so incredibly adorable, but talk about confusing to the little guy!! So when he wants something he'll say " you! you! pleeeeease" while pointing to his chest.
He's now looking up at me, face full of snot, reaching for the xmas paper my husband just bought (talk about cheap!!) going " you, yep, you, me, you, pleeeease?" that means, Can I have this please? ok, I'm going to take it, ok?
I should write a dictionary , of English to 2yr old.
